Astea Mobile integrates seamlessly with Alliance and FieldCentrix solutions, providing a comprehensive solution for field service processes. By replacing paper-intensive and manual operations with standardized and automated workflows, Astea Mobile empowers global mobile workforces with real-time information at their fingertips. One of the key features of Astea Mobile is the ability to schedule work orders and notify field engineers through wired or wireless devices. Service technicians are equipped with all the necessary information to successfully complete service and maintenance jobs. Work orders, which include customer account details, job site information, equipment history, and contract and warranty data, can be accessed on-site with just a press of a button. This eliminates the need for paperwork and re-keying into the back office system, as service ticket information can be captured and submitted directly from the mobile devices.

Additionally, Astea Mobile empowers technicians to manage their own schedules in the field while keeping the home office updated in real time. The solution also offers comprehensive parts management capabilities, allowing technicians to post parts used against work orders, request additional parts if needed, track van stock levels, receive inventory, and ship parts back to the warehouse or depot for closed loop tracking of RMAs and vendor claims. Optional real-time GPS tracking further enhances efficiency by enabling back office users to view the technician's location for intelligent scheduling purposes.

Even when communication range is limited, Astea Mobile ensures that technicians can continue performing their job using their wireless device. Once connectivity is restored, the device synchronizes seamlessly. Furthermore, the solution facilitates instant messaging communication between technicians, corporate offices, warehouses, and other predefined contacts as determined by the organization. This ensures that field service engineers remain connected and have access to everything they need to provide exceptional service.
